Established in 1957, The Island Florist was bought by Mary-Jane Posno and daughter Andrea Posno-Walker in 2006. We renamed the shop "Poppies, the Island Florist" and reinvented the store and our designs to reflect a modern, artistic look. Now, in 2010 the shop will change again to "Poppies Floral Art" as we embark on a new adventure. In November 2010, Poppies Floral Art will move into the highly anticipated downtown architectural achievement- The Atrium. Mary-Jane has over 30 years in the flower industry, and Andrea is a third generation designer with over 20 years to her credit. You are in good hands!! We like to talk to our customers, and recommend that if you can, you call rather than order online. Our creative and courteous staff will aim to please.
